Text Display on BMW head units is disabled by default and has to be enabled manually after car installation of Gateway 300 is concluded.
Click GW_CFG_START_TEXT_SELECTOR.BIN to download the necessary configuration file to your PC. Copy it to the root of an USB flash drive, rename it to GW_CFG.BIN and connect to the Gateway 300. File will be automatically recognized by the Gateway while powered on and the output device selection procedure will start. Select the CD# on the head unit which is displayed on the device (car radio display, navigation screen, ...) where you want to get text displayed. If no text displayed, wait one minute, procedure will be terminated and Gateway will return to normal operation.
This is not necessary to disconnect iPod or stop playback. Configuration file will be deleted by Gateway after its execution.
When Text Display is enabled not only song information but menu also displayed on the head unit instead of iPod. For details please read the User's_Manual shipped with the unit or download it from
www.dension.com site.
To disable Text Display and return to basic operation mode with display on the iPod, download GW_CFG_NO_TEXT.BIN, copy it to the root of an USB flash drive, rename it to GW_CFG.BIN and connect to the Gateway.
Please note, text display is not supported on BMW MINI due to the limitations of the MINI head units.
.
Dis moi si ça résout ton problème.
